Who doesn’t want fresh breath? Bad breath is simply a turn off, and probably something that turns you off if you come across someone else with halitosis. No one wants to be that person with bad breath, but some of us were simply born with it.
While the presence of halitosis can be a natural one in some of us, the good news is that there are definitely ways around it too. I’m going to go into a few things you can do that will seriously help to cut down on the presence of your bad breath.
The first thing I’d suggest doing is changing your diet a little. Try cutting out the sugary and milky foods a bit, in favor of more fruits and vegetables.
If you must eat red meat (everyone loves some here and there), floss regularly after you eat it. Leaving this stuff in your teeth for days can cause a buildup of some really foul smells.
It’s also important that you up your water intake. Drinking water keeps your mouth fresh, your salivary glands active (saliva is a natural fighter of bad breath bacteria), and generally make your mouth healthier.
Drink more water and you’ll notice that your breath is better than before. It definitely won’t make it worse!
The last thing I would recommend doing is to buy a tongue scraper. By using one once or twice per day, you’ll be removing the bacteria from your tongue. This is usually the root of bad breath and it can easily be managed.
These are my best pieces of simple advice. There are, of course, more things that you can do, but trying these will definitely yield you some great results.
